It's really a shame so many adults still choose to live in these fantasy worlds, as the rest of society is saddled with the baggage of this lunacy.

It seems like Zionist Jews have been happy to accept their help because they think their beliefs are nonsense, so I think it is important to remember that these people are happy to speed along the apocalypse by actively supporting the murder of Palestinians and they will turn against the Jews for the same reason.

My entire family is full of these people, talking to them is like conversations with a wall. I'm convinced all religions are individualist self-improvement strategies posing as beacons of community and fellowship.

It’s probably not a Revelation that the Israel Lobby (AIPAC et al) has played a significant role in midwifing this unholy alliance.

I say this as a former Baptist:

I have an essay inside me “Premillennial-dispensationalism caused Trump” inside me.

It goes something like this:

Darbyism or premillennial dispensationalism —the belief that Christ will rapture the real Xtians 7 years before Jesus returns and starts bonking people in the head with a rod of iron (rod of iron head bonking Jesus will out rank table flipping Jesus as my favorite Jesus—I digress)

I say Darbyism is one of the root causes of Trumpistas or the RW evangelical penchant for Trumpism .

For some reason evangelical Xtians of this generation are egotistical enough to think suffering for the sake of Christ is for suckers and Jesus will spare them from tribulation and the world will end — the verse mining, mistranslation of Greek and Hebrew and the cobbling together of divers passages from Old and New Testaments —

Anyhoo preachers who preach this doctrine are being disingenuous and /or deliberately obtuse or are just stupid. If people can believe in Darbyism they can believe anything.

I'm a dispensationalist. I, and all the dispensationalists I know, believe that we could very well suffer a great deal for Christ before he returns, just as countless number of our Christian brothers and sisters are now suffering for Christ around the world, and have been for over 2,000 years. Your slander is based on willful ignorance of the Word of God and of the beliefs of people who actually respect it.

"Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, 'Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue just as they were from the beginning of creation.' For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water, through which the world at that time was destroyed by being flooded with water. But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly people.

"But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:3-9)

First of all it is written, not spoken, so it would be “libel” not “slander”.

But secondly it is opinion so it is neither.

But you are correct … some dispensationalist believe in a post tribulation rapture. I should have made that clear.

But many Xtians, such as myself, reject all the Rapture/Tribulation/left Behind stuff as the nonsense that it is.
