Aw, now I'm wishing I'd ordered regular potatoes from Farm Fresh this week, instead of sweet potatoes, so I could make myself a chip butty after reading this!

I've made chip butties at home a few times over the last several years (here in the Bay Area) and my (American) wife thinks I'm very odd for enjoying them so much... but it really is a truly wonderful "taste of home", even after living here for 23 years! And, yeah, soft white bread, heavily buttered, crispy thick cut fries, salt'n'pepper. Maybe some ketchup if you're feeling adventurous but it's very much optional. Carb-on-carb heaven.
